The cosmic energy of May 2022 feels thick and heavy. There are so many energetic influences swirling through the Universe, and we may have to take extra steps to manage our energy levels and keep ourselves in a state of balance. The three important astrological events of the month are the Mercury Retrograde in Gemini, the Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio and the move of Jupiter into Aries for the first time in 12 years. May is going to be a turning point month. We may feel stretched to our limits and both weary and excited by any transformations that may come our way. It is also likely we will experience the ending or closing of a chapter in our lives this month.

On April 12th Jupiter and Neptune will form a conjunction that only happens every 12 to 13 years. It takes about 166 years for the conjunction to move through the whole zodiac. The previous Jupiter Neptune conjunction was in 2009 in Aquarius and the last conjunction in Pisces was way back in 1856.

March has always been dubbed the wild month of the year. In between Winter and Spring, March weather, “comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb”. But I have always found April to be more unpredictable. I remember resentfully wearing snow boots instead of my new white Mary Jane’s on many a snowy morning when Easter occurred in April. While there’s no snow in the forecast April still has some surprises.

This New Moon in Pisces is especially warm, generous, and optimistic with its alignment with Jupiter. The major planets are all direct, contributing to a feeling of moving forward. Venus, Mars, and Pluto are closely joined at this time, adding a dynamic and creative element to the energies of our new beginnings.

March is the only month of 2022 where we have no planets in retrograde. This means the month brings us some bold, fast, forward-moving energy that can help us push past our fears and take action on the things that we really want to do. Be sure to use this energy to your advantage; start new projects and move forward on the things that you want to do. Leave your excuses to the side and use this energy to make your move. This is especially true in the second half of the month as we cross over into Aries Season following the Spring Equinox. As the Sun shifts into Aries, the tone of the month shifts and waves of strong, fiery, leadership energy begin filtering down to us.
